The Assistant Press Operator directs pasta extrusion and drying equipment to produce dry pasta for a variety of customers. Press Operators monitor control panels to ensure operational set points, such as pressure, temperature, time, and humidity are obtained to produce a high quality product. Operators enter data into computerized systems and evaluate guidelines for machine operation. An ongoing review of the physical attributes of the product and process is critical to ensure that production guidelines and specifications are being achieved. This position requires a minimum of a HS education or equivalent; additional tech school education or related a plus. Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills necessary. Physical ability to work in an environment that requires lifting, bending, twisting and exposure to heat and humidity necessary.
