The Maintenance B Mechanic is involved in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for the entire manufacturing facility. The facility includes grain handling and milling operations, pasta production and packaging operations, and warehousing.

This position requires attention to detail in areas of safety, food safety, and manufacturing / facility systems. Candidates for this position should be able to effectively use tools and equipment to perform a variety of tasks ranging from:

• Building maintenance
• Equipment maintenance
• Boiler operations
• Heat/Ventilation/Cooling operations
• Compressor / vacuum pump / pneumatic conveying maintenance
• Executing preventive maintenance programs with commitment to minimizing unscheduled downtime

Maintenance Mechanics are given overviews of the operations of major systems in each department. By continuously monitoring operations and system performance, a motivated maintenance mechanic can learn to implement timely troubleshooting and repairs to maximize facility safety, quality, and productivity.

This position requires a minimum of a HS education or equivalent; additional tech school education or related experience is strongly preferred. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary. Physical ability to work in an environment that requires lifting, bending, twisting and exposure to heat and humidity is also necessary.
